WorkSafe Victoria

The Autonomous Mobile Robot (AMR) Pilot Program, aimed to test the efficacy of AMR’s in reducing the risk of injury as a result of Hazardous Manual Handling (HMH) within small to medium-sized Victorian manufacturing workplaces. Data collected from recent Victorian worker claims submitted to WorkSafe Victoria, indicated HMH accounted for over 30 percent of injury that required monetary support. Three separate trial workplaces were engaged to test this theory and adopt a standard methodology to assess the results and potential for state-wide scalability.

The acquisition and sustainment of a new fleet of equipment to provide the Australian Defence force with the latest technology and capability to protect Australia’s national interests against Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) threats. In total, this amounted to the acquisition of more than 500 different types of equipment with a total asset holding of 750,000 separate equipment items.

As the Head Office provided several services that ran onsite 24/7 there was a low tolerance for service disruptions and tight timeframes were a mainstay of the project.
